BALANCE for Blind Adults is pleased to introduce “A BALANCE'D Being”
A new 5-week Stress Reduction and Resilience Workshop was created exclusively for clients of BALANCE. With experience in mental health and addictions support, student Occupational Therapist, Emma Frank designed this course with BALANCE client needs in mind. The course will be facilitated by Social Worker and BALANCE counsellor, Melanie Marsden. Through this series you will be provided with an opportunity to learn foundational mental health skills as a person experiencing low vision or blindness. Each 2-hour workshop has been crafted to build into the next, with topics to include: Understanding stress, Mindfulness and meditation, Reframing Negative Thoughts, Assertiveness and Resilience! Thus, we expect all participants to attend each session in order to get the most out of the course.
