March 5, 2025Back by popular demand, BALANCE for Blind Adults is thrilled to reintroduce our evening Self-Defense workshop! Rooted in the principles of Commando Krav Maga, instructor Chris James will guide participants through real-life scenarios using techniques that are simple, practical, and effective.
Self-defense is about more than just physical protection—it also includes emotional resilience. In this class, Chris will highlight the physical and emotional value of self-defense. With over 13 years of experience in martial arts and community volunteering, Chris has taught self-defense across the GTA and internationally. He is excited to partner with BALANCE again to bring this empowering program to our community.

This workshop is open to all ages and ability levels, so whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, there's something for everyone!
Meet Your Instructor:
Known as "The Beatbox Scientist", Andre Gibson is a world-renowned beatboxer and creator of popular techniques like the Laser Liproll. He has won major competitions, including Montreal Beatbox Champion and Vice Canadian National Champion.
